How to Use the CGPA Calculator with Retake Feature?
Managing your grades across multiple trimesters can be confusing, especially when you have retake courses or want to see how they affect your overall CGPA. That’s why we built this CGPA Calculator with Retake Support — a simple, step-by-step tool to make the process easy for every student.
Step 1: Add a New Trimester
- Click the “Add Trimester” button.
- A new trimester section will appear.
- You can add as many trimesters as you’ve completed so far.
Step 2: Add Courses in Each Trimester
- Inside the trimester box, click “Add Course”.
- Enter the following details for each course:
- Course Name – e.g., CSE 101
- Credit Hours – e.g., 3
- Grade – select from the dropdown (A, B+, C, etc.)
- Repeat this process for every course in that trimester.
Step 3: Add Retake Courses (If Any)
If you had to retake a course in another trimester, just add it like a normal course.
The CGPA Calculator will automatically recognize it as a retake and use the latest grade to calculate your GPA and CGPA. This means your new grade replaces the old one in final CGPA calculation.
Step 4: Calculate Your CGPA
Once all courses are added, click the “Calculate CGPA” button. The calculator will:
- Add up all credits and grade points.
- Adjust for any retaken courses.
- Show your final CGPA result.
Step 5: Check Probation or Failed Courses
- If any course is below the passing grade, it will be highlighted.
- The tool can also show whether you are on probation status based on your university rules.
Why This CGPA Calculator is Useful
- No need to manually calculate weighted averages.
- Retake courses are handled correctly and replaced automatically.
- Helps you plan your next trimester and track academic progress.
Tip: Always double-check your grades and credits before hitting calculate to avoid mistakes.
Use this CGPA Calculator to stay on top of your academic performance and make better study decisions.
